The president of Somalia’s Federal government, H.E Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has extended his greetings to employees on the occasion of International Workers’ Day.
According to a statement released by the office of the President, Farmajo congratulated the workers everywhere they are in the country and abroad marking May Day.
“I hereby send my congratulations to all workers across the world, particularly Somali labourers on 1st May. I appreciate the dedication and hardworking they showed,” said Farmajo.
The President added that his government is committed to improving the rights of the workers and is currently drafting a proposed bill regulating the employees and the employers and Employing policy.
Farmajo’s wishes came as the government had already endorsed civil servants rights bill which was waiting for approval from the parliament.
