Hirshabelle state president makes cabinet reshuffle after political standoff

The president of Hirshabelle state, Mohamed Abdi Ware has carried out major cabinet shake-up on Tuesday.

President Ware’s new line-up has affected 12 ministries including youth and sports, agriculture, communication, Justice and Humanitarian and fisheries.

All the new cabinet members in the reshuffle are members of the state regional assembly.

This reshuffle has not affected the ministries of Interior, security, planning, and finance.

The leader of the regional state earlier said he will carry out reshuffle to get a competent cabinet to deal with challenges in the state topped by the security and the social services sector.

Hirshabelle state is the youngest federal state formed on 2016 by the administration led by the former President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh.
