Somali Prime minister returns home after overseas trip

The Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire has on Saturday returned to Mogadishu after attending an International conference on the country’s security held in Brussels, Belgium.

Upon his arrival, the PM was received at Aden Abdulle International Airport by members of his cabinet, lawmakers, and other high-ranking government officials.

During Brussels meeting, Somali Prime minister held talks with EU Vice President, Federica MogheriniViceEU’s support and the progress achieved by Somali government.

The participants discussed on means to review and make visible the transitional plan from AMISOM to Somali Security Forces and the army rebuilding process.

African Union Mission in Somalia  (AMISOM) forces planning exit Somalia in 2020 after more than a decade of a peacekeeping mission in the Horn of Africa nation.
